<image:title>Books - The Organization is Here to Support You Charlene Elsby</image:title>
<image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop Released 3/15/2025 - WP0028 Cover Art/Design by Ira Rat Welcome to the Organization. Employees of the organization contribute to its mission to apply non-traditional methods to the non-traditional problems of today. To ensure that all employees have the same opportunity to thrive, the organization’s state-of-the-art live and work facility has all the comforts of home, plus technology that maximizes their opportunities for collaboration. Without the organization, Clarissa Knowles would have nowhere else to go. That is, unless she can make it to Dick’s house, the professor she’s been talking to online. Haunted by her failed relationship with Maurice (the existentialist), and the deaths of her parents, can Clarissa shake off the values of the organization, pack up her cat – and go? The Organization is Here to Support You is an existential bureaucratic horror satire in the tradition of Franz Kafka, J.G. Ballard, and Sayaka Murata. "A fascinating, sometimes dizzying look at the narratives we build out of other people and what they build upon us. Sometimes you have to revel in the obsessive weirdness of the world. Elsby turns the skull into a cubicle for the mind." - Hailey Piper, author of A Game in Yellow “Charlene's latest is a taut and terrifying journey through a horrific world of conformists---office people who seek to normalize all things into best practices. At stake is a life worth living. At play are all of modern-life's biggest mysteries: What does it mean to be an individual in increasingly homogenized societies? Why does individuality give us hope? Does my cat even like me? If Kafka had set out to write A Brave New World, the result would be a story like this. Clever and terrifying. Charlene Elsby is an artist.” - Brian Allen Carr, author of Opioid, Indiana “Pitch black humor meets the existential dread of contemporary corporate culture in this tour de force from Elsby. Surreal, hilarious, and heartbreaking all at once, you’ll keep going despite the pain, like a cancer-ridden lung wheezing out another smoky laugh. A must-read if you’ve ever been ensnared in bureaucratic hell.” - Emma E. Murray, author of Crushing Snails and The Drowning Machine and Other Obsessions</image:caption>

<image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop Released 3/15/2024 - WP0024 Cover art by Cristy Road Text by Sam Richard A non-binary model discovers that an artist is attempting to paint their soul. Glitter-vomiting deer take over the streets of Los Angeles. A trans man drives out to the desert to investigate rumors of a cult using crude oil as a drug. Heartbreaking, sexy, and grotesque, these stories are timely and insistent reminders that even though we might all be buried in capitalist garbage, we are not garbage, and never were. Infinity Mathing at the Shore & Other Disruptions is a strange and gnarly entry into the canon of 21st-century queer horror. Come, transform with us. With cover art by the legendary Cristy Road. “Infinity Mathing at the Shore & Other Disruptions is the best kind of collection. It cuts you open, crawls inside your chest, and lives with you long after the book is finished.” - Caitlin Marceau, award-winning author of This Is Where We Talk Things Out “Every new da Silva is a dopamine hit. I was excited going in, but this collection really surpassed my excitement. Infinity Mathing at the Shore & Other Disruptions is such a carefully constructed mosaic of stories where unique, seemingly individual pieces come together in this emotional amalgam of growth, transformation, and longing, in their loveliest and most terrible definitions. "Grotesque and splendid", the quotes say, and that is precisely what the collection delivers. Satisfying, thrilling, and a read you won't regret.” - Alex Woodroe, author of Whisperwood and EiC of Tenebrous Press</image:caption>

In Feral Architecture Joe Koch, Donyae Coles, Sara Century, Brendan Vidito, and editor Sam Richard plume the depth of that influence through the lens of horror fiction. The results are surreal, ominous, unexpected, unnerving, and a fitting tribute to the legacy of one of the 20th century’s most impactful and important writers. <image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop Released 12/15/2023 - WP0023 Cover art by Evangeline Gallagher An evocative tale of sapphic love in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by religious zealots and supernatural monsters. Kolesnik’s Elogona transports readers to a time after the world’s end, when a long-dormant sea creature has awoken to stake its claim against one of the last human settlements. Verna must battle both man and monster to protect her family and her newfound love for Audrey, a refugee from the mainland. Meanwhile, the Elogona calls… "A sapphic coming-of-age wonder that's dangerous on all sides but heartfelt to the core. Further evidence that everything Samantha Kolesnik touches turns to gold." -
Hailey Piper, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Queen of Teeth “At once a dystopian fairytale and a glimpse of our too-possible future, Elogona is a story of love, defiance, and determination in the face of monsters—both human and inhuman. Kolesnik tears through these themes with teeth and heart, never failing to unnerve and surprise.” - J.A.W. McCarthy, Bram Stoker Award and Shirley Jackson Award finalist, author of Sleep Alone “Elogona enraptures immediately with darkly fantastical elements that draw you into one of the sweetest and yet devastating sapphic romances I’ve read. A tale of survival, from the individual to the whole of humanity as they wallow in their own messy, war-torn aftermath, it grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let go until the shocking end. Layers of depth, reflecting on the state of our world, are expertly woven together by characters you can’t help but fall for, all set in a future sublimely heartbreaking. Kolesnik melded genres and subverted expectations so skillfully, I know I’ll be revisiting this story many times as soon as my shredded heart can bear it.” - Emma E. Murray, author of Exquisite Hunger “Otherworldly and grounded, immersive and gut-wrenching, Elogona feels all too real.” - Rae Knowles, Author of Merciless Waters "Apocalyptic folklore, religious fascism, and sapphic romance collide in Kolesnik's darkly magical maelstrom of a novella Elogona." - Eric Raglin, author of Extinction Hymns</image:caption>

      <image:title>Books - Chaindevils Matthew Mitchell</image:title>
<image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop Released 11/15/2023 - WP0021 Cover art by Buster Moody Cover design by Ira Rat Take heed, and smoke what you got… In the far-distant post-apocalypse of rural America, an embattled company of chainsaw-wielding hillbillies are set forth by Her Majesty of the Ozarks on a quest for precious methamphetamine. Beset by religious zealots, militarized sex workers, and their own addictions, the CHAINDEVILS slash their way across the drug-addled border between Missouri and Arkansas. Embrace the chaos with Matthew Mitchell's debut novella, which tears off pieces of horror, grimdark fantasy, dying earth fiction, and drug literature, and smashes them together in hazy, mud-coated ways unlike anything you've ever seen. "Mitchell pens a wild extrapolation of a post-apocalyptic North American Landscapeby way of The Road, Warhammer 40k, and pulp westerns. Chaindevils is hard, grisly fare." - Laird Barron, author of The Wind Began to Howl “Beneath the chainsaws, drugs, and miscreants - Mitchell has created a story about Seachers. Folk that reflect the worst and the best in us, trying to find answers to questions we’re too afraid to ask.” - Adam Smith (Eisner Award-Nominee, Long Walk to Valhalla) “Gory and raucous weird fiction, Chaindevils is one of the most outrageous stories I've ever read. If you'd like a taste of A Clockwork Orange with a Southern accent, Mad Max on meth, and Blood Meridian with chainsaws, then you'll want to dive into this vivid and original desolation envisioned by Matthew Mitchell.” - Ivy Grimes, author of Grime Time “Mitchell gathers the haunted cultural imagination of the Ozarks together with the bloody history of the US’s internal border wars and the cultlike stature of their figureheads and squeezes until it all reaches critical mass and burns through the fabric of history into a desolate future. Meth-fueled chainsaw warriors and gilded femdom valkyries and giggling hooded cultists pursue truly shocking violence according to a logic we can only grasp the edge of. Chaindevils festers in the brain like an eldritch hangnail.” - Mark Jaskowski, author of Mutant Circuit, The Heartbeat Harvest "It would be a mistake to call this tale a descent into Hell. We’re already in Hell from the first page, the first line…No depravity is left unplumbed. No despair left unearned. No doom left unmanifested. You want an army of chainsaw-wielding meth-addicted cannibals? Bizarre masked and horned cultists? Jewel-encrusted monarchist warrior women? It’s all here, and more besides. It takes a pure vision and a lot of guts to write something this balls-to-the-wall, and Matthew Mitchell has both. Who knows what new filth-encrusted hells he’ll drag us to next, but I’m damn sure going to let him." - Matt Neil Hill, author of short fiction</image:caption>

Someone put something into her at the plasma center and took it back out again. By the time her friends catch up to her, she’s not exactly the person they remember. She has begun to change into something new, and if they’re going to help her escape the people who did this to her, they may need to transform, too. Squarely in both the crime and body horror traditions, Mutant Circuit reads like Elmore Leonard and David Cronenberg meeting at 3 AM in a run-down strip mall parking lot, and Mark Jaskowski is the conspirator who brought them there. "Jaskowski wields words like weapons, his prose quick and sharp as a butterfly knife. The result: a truly original work in the corpus of body horror." – Brendan Vidito (Pornography for the End of the World, Nightmares in Ecstasy)</image:caption>

<image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop Released 12/15/2022 - WP0019 Cover art by Don Noble Cover design by Ira Rat Back cover art by Tana Thornock A mysterious woman stalks a seaside town. An isolated couple inhabit a house full of tropical birds. A rowboat floats down a river toward a witch's cave. Death wanders an unnamed city during the plague. Sara Century's debut short story collection carries with it surreal visions inspired by pulp paperbacks, art house films, comic books of all flavors, and classic queer villains. A Small Light & Other Stories gathers tales that hinge on troubled characters with nothing left to lose encountering existential horrors, where everyday problems escalate into insurmountable monsters, and we find ourselves unable to escape dreams long since transformed into nightmares. "Century's fiction packs the potency of a nightmare that haunts the mind long after one has woken. She weaves dark poetry out of her character's relationships and crafts imagery designed to unsettle and inspire awe in equal measure. These stories whisper in your ear in the dark of night, and you will find yourself welcoming their insidious omens with outstretched arms." - Brendan Vidito (Pornography for the End of the World) "Sara Century writes with subtle intensity and care. In a genre often extreme, alien, and operatic, her horror stories drop us into the small center of our familiar, vulnerable human core and send ripples spreading outward, enlarging gradually to create a total emotional effect. A Small Light is a book full of dark awakenings." - Joe Koch (The Wingspan of Severed Hands, Convulsive)</image:caption>

<image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop | Godless Released 7/31/2022 - WP0016 Cover art by Wieslaw Walkuski Cover design by Ira Rat The end of the world demands a new form of pornography… From Brendan Vidito, the Wonderland-Award-winning author of Nightmares in Ecstasy, comes nine tales of apocalyptic body horror. A young man is initiated into a cult that worships sickness and disease. Survivors of a nuclear holocaust make a pilgrimage to the last movie theater in existence. Premonitions of disaster haunt a loving couple doomed to watch each other die. Each story pulsates with Vidito's characteristic dark humor, atmospheric tension, and visceral prose. This is pornography for the devotee of horror, the morbidly curious—pornography for the end of the world. “With apocalyptic urgency, Vidito strip-mines our psychosexual fears and frailties as humans to elicit an ecstatic response. I couldn't stop reading. As a grand manipulator, he molds speculative horror and body horror into one dark hybrid, a sleek and cum-soaked vessel of transcendence.” - Joe Koch (The Wingspan of Severed Hands, Convulsive) “Audacious and devastatingly unique, Pornography for the End of the World is the literary equivalent of a Molotov cocktail with author Brendan Vidito’s fiery and explosive writing that feels utterly dangerous to read. I’m still recovering from the brutality of some of these tales.” - Eric LaRocca (Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke)</image:caption>

<image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop | Godless Released 12/30/2021 - WP0015 Cover by Don Noble Winner of the 2019 Wonderland Award for Best Collection, To Wallow in Ash & Other Sorrows is a bleak and unflinching look at widowhood through the lens of horror fiction. Written in the early days of widowhood and in the spirit of J.G. Ballard, Kathe Koja, and Georges Bataille, these stories are a cross-section of literary splatterpunk, transgressive fiction, and weird horror, which explore loss, grief, and the alluring comforts found within the heart of oblivion. This Revised & Expanded version includes the never-before-seen novelette There is Power in the Blood. “A punch to the soul. I mean you can really feel how difficult this was to write. ‘To Wallow in Ash’ is a bleakly profound - and on occasion uplifting - expedition through grief-induced mania (and without ever succumbing to mal du siècle). Richard offers us an authentic, raw document of depression and loss; and to have moulded the stages into artful monographs while staring the abyss right in the eye every step of the way is truly commendable.” - Chris Kelso, author of The Black Dog Eats the City "With To Wallow in Ash & Other Sorrows, Sam Richard has crafted a book of stories that will rip your heart right out of your chest... and it's absolutely worth every moment. At turns brutally raw, incredibly beautiful, and always unexpected, this is an unforgettable ode to a love lost far too soon, and a collection that is absolutely worth seeking out." - Gwendolyn Kiste, author of The Rust Maidens and The Invention of Ghosts “This book is grief weaponized.” - Emma Alice Johnson, Wonderland Award-winner "Witches and rituals and weird gods but most terrifying of all is a sense of deep grief that stalks the pages like a predatory beast. Sam Richard has gifted readers his private terrors but also his heart and soul. Violent, weird, and compelling work." - Nicholas Day, author of At the End of the Day I Burst into Flames and Grind Your Bones to Dust</image:caption>

A whirlpool of darkness churns at the heart of a macabre ballet between two lonely young women in an internet chat room in the early 2000s--a darkness that threatens to forever transform them once they finally succumb to their most horrific desires. What have you done today to deserve your eyes? “A startling affair...I’ll be cleaning up particles of darkness in my office for weeks.” - Josh Malerman (Bird Box, Inspection) "When broken people do broken things - especially in the name of love - we all get broken, too. What starts as sweetly genteel swiftly descends into everything that's brutalizingly ugly about the abusive master/slave dynamic. A hauntingly elegant, masterfully written, and ultimately devastating indictment of cruel manipulation and even crueler submission. This is one deeply fucked-up heartbreaker. You have been warned." - John Skipp (The Light at the End) "Part Dennis Cooper's The Sluts, part David Cronenberg's The Brood...Eric LaRocca's Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke is a masterpiece of epistolary body horror." - Max Booth III (We Need to Do Something) "Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke is a tight, merciless epistolary, each piece of correspondence coiling the reader around its finger and never letting go. LaRocca skillfully weaves a grotesque, unforgettable page-turner of manipulation and depravity." - Hailey Piper (The Worm and His Kings) "With darkly poetic prose and chilling stories that peel back layers of skin to reveal a beating, bloody heart, Eric LaRocca is the clear literary heir of Clive Barker." - Tyler Jones (Criterium, The Dark Side of the Room) “Eric LaRocca is a fierce talent that knows no limit, masterful and utterly unmissable!” - Ross Jeffery (Juniper, Tome)</image:caption>

He already has four, and number five, Claire, is currently bound in the back of his van. Too bad Claire isn’t exactly human. <image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop | Godless Released 12/15/2020 - WP0009 Cover by Don Noble Three Women, One Battle A world gone mad. Cities abandoned. Dreams invade waking minds. An invisible threat lures those who oppose its otherworldly violence to become acolytes of a nameless cult. As a teenage girl struggles for autonomy, a female weapons director in a secret research facility develops a living neuro-cognitive device that explodes into self-awareness. Discovering their hidden emotional bonds, all three unveil a common enemy through dissonant realities that intertwine in a cosmic battle across hallucinatory dreamscapes. Time is the winning predator, and every moment spirals deeper into the heart of the beast. "I’m awestruck by Joe Koch’s nonstop spellbinding, almost paralyzingly inventive and yet propulsive, ultra-focused prose. The Wingspan of Severed Hands is a truly amazing find." - Dennis Cooper (The Sluts, The Marbled Swarm) "Koch's latest novella is what might have happened if Robert W. Chambers had been a surrealist with a penchant for body horror. A strange trip to Carcosa offered in thickly evocative language, The Wingspan of Severed Hands is a highly original hallucination." - Brian Evenson (Song For the Unraveling of the World, A Collapse of Horses) "The Wingspan of Severed Hands is a brilliant and uniquely voiced blend of body horror and Chambers-esque cosmic horror that never loses sight of its humanity. Joe Koch is a brave new voice in weird literature and horror." - Jack Zipes (Literature and Literary Theory: Fairy Tales and the Art of Subversion)</image:caption>

<image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop | Godless Released 5/15/2020 - WP0007 Cover by Michael Bukowski After learning about the existence of a powerful grimoire through a cartoon, 12-year-old Joe is determined to find it and change his lot in life. But in doing so, he'll also uncover a local priest's dark secret and how it may be connected to Joe's brother abruptly leaving town five years ago.Part homage to the small-creature horror films of the 80s (Ghoulies, Gremlins, The Gate) and part Splatterpunk take on a Goosebumps book, Sabbath of the Fox-Devils is a weird, diabolical coming-of-age horror story of self-liberation in an oppressive religious environment set during the Satanic Panic. Prepare your soul to revel in the darkness. “Sabbath of the Fox-Devils is coming-of-age gone wrong, a celebration of the Satan-soaked stories that hooked us all on horror and a satire of the people who hate them. I bet my soul you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.” - Katy Michelle Quinn (Winnie) "It's been said good writing comes from opening a vein and bleeding on the page. Anyone who’s read Sam Richard knows his writing epitomizes this visceral process. Sabbath of the Fox Devils, both a wistful love letter to schlocky horror and a sentimental character study, is no different. It's a confidently-written, refined novella without sacrificing the rawness which made Sam's previous works so memorable. Fans of 80s horror, Scooby Doo, and punk rock will find lots to love here." - Lucas Mangum (Saint Sadist, Gods of the Dark Web) "Light the black candles and invert the cross as Sam Richard conjures a coming-of-age story of Satanic panic, creature carnage, and blasphemous terror!" - Ryan Harding (Genital Grinder, Header 3)</image:caption>

When redemption comes with a dash of black magic, the two enter a world of talking corpses, flesh-eating hogs, rude mimes, and ritualistic violence. "Jo Quenell's debut novella explores both regret and connection in the weirdest and wildest ways possible. Good times!" - Danger Slater (Impossible James, Puppet Skin) "A whiskey-burn tale of loneliness and regret, Quenell's debut will shove your face in the slop and leave you lucky to see another awful day." - Katy Michelle Quinn (Winnie) "A Southern Gothic folk tale steeped in black humour and the occult. <image:caption>Weirdpunk Store | Amazon | B&N | Bookshop Released 9/14/2016 - WP0002 Cover by Justin T Coons You know the songs. They’re etched into every punk’s brain. Not just because they’re catchy, but because there’s something else there. Glenn Danzig’s lyrics evoke intense imagery. Beautiful, dark, monstery imagery. There’s poetry between the whoa-oh-ohs. There are stories in those songs. They just need to be told. Now, underground fiction’s most talented fiends have created a series of tales inspired by the Misfits. In these pages, an astro zombie contemplates the life she left behind as she goes into flesh-ripping battle. A team of organ harvesters shows just how violent the world can be. A wannabe true crime reporter goes on a grisly road trip that takes him a little too close to his subject matter. A mysterious set of skulls pushes a young woman to create a collection of her very own. A teenager from mars excavates the fetid product of his earthly lust. These new twists on the songs you love are sure to surprise, startle, sicken and force you to see this timeless horror punk in a completely different light.</image:caption>

He punched and kicked at the boundaries, eager for something bigger, something crazier, something much more fucked up. But the real world refused to give him the adventures he needed. Now, thanks to underground fiction’s most talented scumfucs, GG is cast in a series of adventures that truly befit his outlaw spirit. In these pages, GG Allin is a secret agent, engaging in cult-smashing missions in exchange for dirty sex with George and Barbara Bush. He’s a shit-eating, spaceship-piloting and time-traveling savior of humanity. He’s an orisha, called upon to save prisoners from ‘roid rage mutant guards. He’s one half of a deepfried onion ring ouroboros with his soulmate John Wayne Gacy. He’s thousands of clones living inside your giant robot body. <image:title>Home - I spoke at the fucking Walker Art Center</image:title>
<image:caption>At the end of March, I had the monstrous opportunity to speak at The Walker Art Center in the Design Lecture Series. The night was curated by Brad McGinty of OddMart/Glorp Gum fame. I’m still amazed this happened. I spoke for about 12-15 minutes (over time, oops!) about Weirdpunk’s design philosophy, the challenges of book covers, and the various decisions and techniques used to make the outside of a book reflect the inside while still staying true to the artistic vision I have for the press. It was incredible. The other artists who spoke were also amazing and it was an honor to not just be up there, but to be up there among them. Apparently the video of the whole thing will go up at some point on The Walker’s website.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Out now!! Charlene Elsby’s The Organization is Here to Support You is an existential bureaucratic horror satire in the tradition of Franz Kafka, J.G. Ballard, and Sayaka Murata. Think Severance. Think Brazil. Think unique, disquieting, and psychologically upsetting. Charlene Elsby is an artist.” - Brian Allen Carr, author of Opioid, Indiana Grab a copy here!</image:caption>

Don’t miss this fucking book. With cover art by legendary punk artist Cristy Road! “Every new da Silva is a dopamine hit. <image:caption>Feral Architecture edited by Sam Richard is up for pre-order here. In the tradition of Weirdpunk mini-anthologies like Cinema Viscera and Beautiful/Grotesque comes Feral Architecture: Ballardian Horrors. JG Ballard is one of our favorite writers, and in a lot of ways this book is something the press has been building towards for a many years. Joining editor Sam Richard with new horror fiction are Weirdpunk friends and alum Joe Koch, Donyae Coles, Sara Century, and Brendan Vidito. The results of this project are strange, unsettling, surprising, and unshockingly unique. This is a really special one for us. Hope you’ll come along for the ride, even if you’re not familiar with the works of JG Ballard.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Elogona by Samantha Kolesnik is up for pre-order here. Samantha Kolesnik’s return from her retirement from writing is here! And it’s quite different from her other books but incredible in its own way. Plus holy shit look at the cover art from Evangeline Gallagher! An evocative tale of sapphic love in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by religious zealots and supernatural monsters. Kolesnik’s Elogona transports readers to a time after the world’s end, when a long-dormant sea creature has awoken to stake its claim against one of the last human settlements. Verna must battle both man and monster to protect her family and her newfound love for Audrey, a refugee from the mainland. Meanwhile, the Elogona calls… Elogona is a coming-of-age post-apocalyptic folk-horror tale of love, rebellion, and revenge. We’re so fucking excited for everyone to read this! "A sapphic coming-of-age wonder that's dangerous on all sides but heartfelt to the core. Further evidence that everything Samantha Kolesnik touches turns to gold."-
Hailey Piper, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Queen of Teeth</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Chaindevils - Matthew Mitchell</image:title>
<image:caption>Chaindevils by Matthew Mitchell is up for pre-order here. The official release date is 11/15 and we’re hoping to have our copies a little earlier than that so we can get them to everyone a bit early. Take heed, and smoke what you got… In the far-distant post-apocalypse of rural America, an embattled company of chainsaw-wielding hillbillies are set forth by Her Majesty of the Ozarks on a quest for precious methamphetamine. "Mitchell pens a wild extrapolation of a post-apocalyptic North American Landscape by way of The Road, Warhammer 40k, and pulp westerns. Chaindevils is hard, grisly fare." - Laird Barron, author of The Wind Began to Howl</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Mutant Circuit - Mark Jaskowski</image:title>
<image:caption>Mutant Circuit by Mark Jaskowski is up for pre-order here. The official release date is August 31st, but we wanted to throw this up now. This book is fucking amazing and you’re not gonna want to miss it! What is happening to Katherine?

      <image:title>Home - Weirdpunk 2023 Sub Club open now!</image:title>
<image:caption>For our 3rd year in a row, we are once again doing the Weirdpunk Sub Club. Sign up here. For those unfamiliar, the Weirdpunk Sub Club is essentially a subscription service for a year’s slate of books. For 2023, we will be releasing 5. When each book comes out, it will be sent to you without you having to do any additional work. You also get the bonus of knowing you helped us fund an entire year of releases. On top of all that, you also get an exclusive shirt, postcard prints with each release, ltd stickers with each book, and this year we are doing something else new. In prior years there was another item. A Weirdpunk can koozie and then the following year a Weirdpunk logo patch. But stuff is just more stuff, right? What are you actually here for? Words. Stories. Fiction. Horror fiction. Weird Horror fiction. So fuck it, we’re gonna do a ltd zine with the Sub Club this year. And if it goes over well, we’ll be doing a ltd zine with every year of the Sub Club until I get sick of it. You can expect it to look fucking rad and also have fiction from Weirdpunk authors and/or friends of the press. Honestly, I’m not sure yet, I’m still getting it all mapped out. But I’m thinking it’s gonna be fucking rad. If any of this sounds good to you, sign up here! 2021 we had 35 slots. 2022 was 50. This year I’m not sure. I’m probably gonna let this go until it hits a comfortable zone and then cut it, so get in now while you still can!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - A Small Light & Other Stories - Sara Century</image:title>
<image:caption>A Small Light & Other Stories, the debut release from Sara Century is out now. Order it here. A mysterious woman stalks a seaside town.

      <image:title>Home - Grief Rituals - Sam Richard</image:title>
<image:caption>Grief Rituals is out now. Order it here. From Wonderland Award-Winner Sam Richard comes 12 more uncomfortable tales of loss, ruination, and transformation. A young widow joins a spousal loss institute with bizarre methods of healing, an aging punk is stalked by something ancient and familiar in the labyrinthian halls of an art complex, and a couple renting out a small movie theater are interrupted by a corrosive force of nature. Through these tales of weird horror and visceral sorrow, Richard introduces us to the ways grief can be transcendent—but only if we know which rituals to practice.</image:caption>

Between the desire to create and the thing created, the model is a key, a stepping stone, a participant othered through the process of creation. These thirteen visions of modern horror dissect the relationship between artist and model, exposing the spaces the eye is tricked into missing where we witness the beautiful and monstrous intricacies of making and being made. Featuring stories by Andrew Wilmot, M. Lopes da Silva, Gwendolyn Kiste, Hailey Piper, Roland Blackburn, Ira Rat, Donyae Coles, Matt Neil Hill, Brendan Vidito, LC von Hessen, Gary J. <image:title>Home - Pornography for the End of the World - Brendan Vidito</image:title>
<image:caption>Wonderland Award-winning and three-time Splatterpunk Award-nominee, Brendan Vidito has been a close friend and collaborator (as co-editor of The New Flesh, and his fiction has appeared in Cinema Viscera, Zombie Punks Fuck Off, and the forthcoming Stories of the Eye) for many years. We are beyond excited to be publishing his follow-up to the cult hit Nightmares in Ecstasy. Pornography for the End of the World comes out July 31st, but you can pre-order it here. The end of the world demands a new form of pornography… From Brendan Vidito, the Wonderland-Award-winning author of Nightmares in Ecstasy, comes nine tales of apocalyptic body horror. As a grand manipulator, he molds speculative horror and body horror into one dark hybrid, a sleek and cum-soaked vessel of transcendence.” - Joe Koch, The Wingspan of Severed Hands, Convulsive “Audacious and devastatingly unique, Pornography for the End of the World is the literary equivalent of a Molotov cocktail with author Brendan Vidito’s fiery and explosive writing that feels utterly dangerous to read. I’m still recovering from the brutality of some of these tales.” - Eric LaRocca, Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - To Wallow in Ash & Other Sorrows - Sam Richard</image:title>
<image:caption>The Repress of Sam Richard’s 2019 Wonderland Award-winning collection, To Wallow in Ash & Other Sorrows is finally here. Our final release of 2021 and a book that went promptly out of print following its Wonderland win, To Wallow in Ash & Other Sorrows is an urgent animal cry from the depths of grief and loss. With most of the stories written in the weeks and months following the sudden death of his wife, Sam Richard strips bare the uncomfortable truths of despair and longing for someone ripped from this world far too soon. In the spirit of Kathe Koja, JG Ballard, and Georges Bataille, these stories are painfully personal and deeply unsettling, but also all to familiar for those who’ve experienced intimate loss. This new edition is revised and remastered and includes a brand new, never before seen novelette, There is Power in the Blood. "With To Wallow in Ash & Other Sorrows, Sam Richard has crafted a book of stories that will rip your heart right out of your chest... and it's absolutely worth every moment. At turns brutally raw, incredibly beautiful, and always unexpected, this is an unforgettable ode to a love lost far too soon, and a collection that is absolutely worth seeking out." - Gwendolyn Kiste, author of The Rust Maidens and The Invention of Ghosts</image:caption>

<image:title>Home - Cinema Viscera: An Anthology of Movie Theater Horror - edited by Sam Richard</image:title>
<image:caption>Honestly, it has been a bumpy road with this book. Initially, it was intended to be our August release, but given some life stuff from a handful of the contributors (very much myself included), it got delayed until October. The 31st, so be precise. Much like Beautiful/Grotesque, this one started because I wanted to continue the tradition of Jo Quenell, Katy Michelle Quinn, and myself inviting a couple other friends along on an adventure of ‘let’s write some weird shit…’ And much like Beautiful/Grotesque (and LAZERMALL before it), this experiment ended with something I’m so proud of. Cinema Viscera is about horror stories that take place in movie theaters. That’s it. A simple premise, but oh god did these maniacs deliver. Along with Katy, Jo, and I, we asked our good friends Charles Austin Muir and Brendan Vidito to join us. The results were so much darker, complex, uncomfortable, and strange than I initially anticipated. And now you can pre-order it. We’ve got an amazing cover by Don Noble, too, so check that shit out. Here’s the back cover copy: In five unique and bizarre tales Katy Michelle Quinn (Girl in the Walls), Charles Austin Muir (Slippery When Metastasized), Jo Quenell (The Mud Ballad), Brendan Vidito (Nightmares in Ecstasy), and Sam Richard (Sabbath of the Fox-Devils) each bring you their own disturbing vision of what lurks in the darkness of your local movie theater. Not gonna lie, this shit is a lot darker than we thought it would be. Make sure to grab some popcorn…</image:caption>

<image:caption>Our next release, Ali Seay’s To Offer Her Pleasure is now up for preorder in the Weirdpunk Store. Grab it here. We have both a regular version and an Ltd. signed version. We only have a few signed copies left, so get it while you still can if you want it! The official release day is August 31st, but if all goes according to plan, we may be able to get the preorders out prior to the release day. Nightworms was gracious enough to host a cover reveal for us, which you can check out here. This is a strange, dark book that manages to both be gruesome and fun in equal measure, while also carrying an undercurrent of sadness to it. Basically, it’s a perfect fit here at Weirdpunk. Synopsis: After the death of his father and his mother taking off, it becomes clear to Ben that the only thing he can count on, is no one to count on. Until he finds the book. One that calls forth a shadowy horned figure. She comes with unexpected gifts and the comfort of a dependable presence. And she asks for very little in return, really. The more Ben offers her, the easier it gets. Sometimes, family requires more than a little sacrifice… “A gruesome take on the coming of age story, TO OFFER HER PLEASURE gives us well-drawn and empathetic characters and a compelling evil. Tightly written and fast-paced, Seay wastes no time in snaring her readers with sacrifice and dark promises, kept in the bloodiest way.” - Laurel Hightower (Crossroads, Whispers in the Dark)</image:caption>

<image:caption>Our next release is Eric LaRocca’s Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke, a deeply disturbing, epistolary novella about a twisted relationship that grows between two women. To our eyes, it reads like Dennis Cooper and David Cronenberg meeting in a seedy chatroom in the early 2000s. And we love it. Josh-fucking-Malerman had this to say about it: “A startling affair...I’ll be cleaning up particles of darkness in my office for weeks.” - Josh Malerman (Bird Box, Inspection) So you know it has to be good. Our friends over and Night Worms have graciously agreed to do a cover reveal, so check that out here! The cover art was done by the incredible Swedish artist Kim Jakobsson with the text design handled by the one and only Ira Rat (of Filthy Loot). The book is also now available for Pre-Order here, so snag a copy early and we’ll try our best to get it to you prior to the June 1st release day!! We’re also down to 5 subscription slots for the 2021 Weirdpunk Sub Club. <image:caption>Our next release is Maria Abrams’ amazing She Who Rules the Dead! Coming April 15th, we just opened the book to preorders in our store. Henry has received a message: he needs to sacrifice five people to the demon that’s been talking to him in his nightmares. He already has four, and number five, Claire, is currently bound in the back of his van. Too bad Claire isn’t exactly human. She Who Rules the Dead reads like a Tales From the Crypt collaboration between Kathe Koja and Joe R. Lansdale but retains Abrams' powerful and unique voice. Don't miss it! “I fucking loved this book! Just when I thought I knew where it was headed--I was wrong. And I love to be wrong. A thrilling ride. I want more!” - Ali Seay (Go Down Hard) Maria even did the cover art herself and holy hell is this thing a beauty. Don’t sleep on this book!!</image:caption>

Stories of the beautiful and grotesque colliding written by Weirdpunk alumni, Jo Quenell, Katy Michelle Quinn, Joanna Koch, Roland Blackburn, and Sam Richard. Like Dennis Cooper and David Cronenberg meeting in a seedy chatroom. We have one more upcoming release on the books so far for 2021. It will be officially announced soon. We’re planning on 3 more releases this year, though that could change depending on several factors.</image:caption>

      <image:title>multi-stabber tarot - A legacy in art</image:title>
<image:caption>On August 13th, 2017, my wife Mo Richard died of an aortic aneurysm. It came out of nowhere and she was gone almost immediately. Mo was so many things. She was a tattoo artist, a painter/illustrator, a gardener, a dog mom, a friend, a feminist, a passionate defender of social progress, a satanist, a witch, a horror movie fan, a true crime buff, a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt. At the time of her death, she had been working for about 2 years on creating her own tarot deck.</image:caption>

      <image:title>multi-stabber tarot - As a community mourns</image:title>
<image:caption>I knew we couldn’t leave her vision unfinished. Mo had created all of the Major Arcana and was into the 2’s on the Minor. She left behind her plans for the deck, so we (myself, her boss Bambi at Jackalope Tattoo, our friend Joe Rheault, and my sister Kari Johnson) gathered together about 40 artists, most of them friends of Mo, to finish the cards that she hadn’t gotten to so we could release the deck as she would have wanted.</image:caption>

      <image:title>multi-stabber tarot - The multi-stabber tarot was born</image:title>
<image:caption>Fall of 2019 we launched a Kickstarter campaign to make the deck a reality. It was a massive success. Luckily for those who missed it, we still have copies of the deck available in the Weirdpunk Store. People often ask what multi-stabber means. It was Mo’s internet handle for damn near everything, from Twitter to Instagram. As a tattoo artist, she often said that her job was to multi-stab people; that she was a multi-stabber. And yes, lower-case is correct.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Born in 2014, Weirdpunk Books sits atop a pile of well-read Dell Abyss and DAW yellowspine paperbacks, tattered punk zines, and worn black metal records in moldy room where Brian Yuzna’s Society plays muted on a warped old tube tv while JG Ballard and Kathy Acker debate Georges Bataille's work and warped Celtic Frost tapes blast in the background. Too alienating for some. Home for others. Queer | Leftist | DIY These Books Kill Fascists | This Press Runs on Spicy Pickles & High Life.</image:caption>
